On the cruise-mostly about the food

We had a great time. The weather was awesome. Marie and Abbi had a room with a balcony on the 8th floor. Stephen, Dan, Linda and I were all the way down on the first floor. The room was actually pretty big, only the shower was small. I had to do a bit of contorting to shave my legs. I can't remember everything I ate on the ship, but it was all very good. Sometimes Dan and Stephen would order more than one entree. I never had chicken or pasta- I can have that at home. I had steak and fish and lobster and one night I even had duck. It was yummy. Our waiter Victor was super nice. By the first night he knew all of our names. He always said hi to me first though. :) On my birthday we had cake and everyone sang to me. When we first got to the formal dinning hall, we sat at a table where there was a group of five people at the table next to us. They asked us if we would move to the table behind us, because their entire family was with them but they were not sitting together. So of course we switched and they were do happy they got us a bottle of wine on my birthday. It was nice. I just dropped off my pictures, so hopefully I'll be able to post some soon. More later...

Cruise with me baby

Well, since the generally rule in life is whatever Nookie wants, Nookie gets, I’ll tell you about my cruise. We’ve got a 3 PM flight tomorrow out of National Airport. Stephen, Abbi and I are flying together. Stephen and I have been friends for a long time now. He’s going full out tourist on our cruise, complete with straw hat and Hawaiian shirts. I used to work with Abbi at NDU. She’s a little shy, but very sweet. Marie lives down in Norfolk, and her flight arrives in Miami around 11. She and I know each other because she had Caps season tickets until she moved. Like me, she’s been a life long fan. Hopefully Dan and Linda will be joining us at some point. Dan and Linda decided to drive in Dan’s Prius, because they are insane. Dan and Linda are the only couple. Dan, Linda, and Stephen do tech support for NIH. Dan actually helped get Linda her job. Dan and Stephen grew up best friends, and they are like pea pods. We like to tease them they really are the same person.

We’re sailing on the Carnival Triumph to the Eastern Caribbean. We leave on Saturday and return Saturday the 18th. In between, we visit San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. Abbi and I are going on an excursion from St. Thomas to St. John with champagne and snorkeling. Abbi, Marie and I are going on an excursion in St. Maarten where we are going to this private water park to snorkel and feed the fishes. On Wednesday it’s my birthday, and my mom has promised me a surprise will be waiting on the ship. I have never done anything like this, so I am very excited. I did a lot of the planning and organizing, so I hope it goes well.

So why would I turn down a sure thing?

Mike called Thursday night and wanted me to come over. I said no, because I don't want him to think I'm at his beck and call. I teased him that I would possibly come over Friday night after the game. It was a great game, we won 4-1, and Mike Green had his first NHL goal. He was so cute and the draft day party. I want his jersey, but not before he really makes the team, cause you know his number isn't going to be 52 forever.
Anyway, I decided I was tired last night and turned off my phone. And I haven't picked it up today. So why am I turning down a sure lay? And it's not bad sex either. I don't know. Stephen and Dan and I are going to the mall shortly to shop for the cruise. I can't wait.

Thursday's Random Thoughts

Last night's Veronica Mars was great as usual. I love that show so much. Poor Weevil's gang left him and beat him up. I wonder where his character goes from here. Looks like they are getting back on track with the bus crash story line... good thing too.
I got my ticket from Brian for tomorrow night's game. 100 row T baby, dead center. How the other (richer) half lives.
John pulled himself out of the dog house for now.... but we'll see how long this lasts. His justification for not talking to me for the past four days?? He's been ignoring EVERYONE. Well don't I feel...ordinary. Feh.
I'm going back to Ladies Workout Express tonight. I love it so. This is only my second week and my thighs feel fantastic. Woot.
