Decisions, decisions

I think I have narrowed it down to University of South Carolina, University of Maryland College Park, University of North Texas, and Drexel. Drexel offers a discount for Maryland residents. My undergrad GPA may not be good enough to get me in to Maryland, but I can take classes and transfer. The three programs that are not Maryland are completely online. I may have to go to orientation though. The one at North Texas has orientations in Vegas. This will have no impact on my decision. :-)
Fortunately, I have enough saved up to go to school part time for a while without having to think about it.
I also have to decide if I want to get a teaching certificate and become a school librarian or if I want to become a children's librarian in public libraries. Probably the latter, I think.

The Answers to the Quiz

1) Right now I am:
a. Tired
b. Stuffy (stupid sinuses)
c. a little grumpy
d. All of the above

The correct answer was d. Stupid sinuses. Today on the other hand I feel good. It's warm and lovely, and I have drugs. Hooray.

2)My favorite show is:
a. The Amazing Race
b. American Idol
c. Veronica Mars
d. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

My favorite show is Veronica Mars. I always love the shows that last a few seasons at most and get canned. It's storyline, continuity, and characters are simply amazing.

3) I have a ticket for Friday night's Caps game. They've lost 8 games in a row. I am:
a. Not really looking forward to going.
b. More optimistic, Olie is finally back and they can't win without him.
c. First or last, I love my Caps.
d. Going to wear a paper bag over my head.

I would have accepted b or c. Both are correct. And they won 5-1, and some Toronto fans were very sad. It was awesome.

4) I am wearing my hair:
a. In a cute braid.
b. Twisted on my head with cute little curls on the top.
c. In a ponytail.
d. Down with barrettes.

I was wearing it twisted on my head with these little curlies on the top. It was drizling, and rain + curly hair= bad.
I do wear it all of those ways. I like to keep my options open. Today I am wearing it in a bun, and little tendrils are trying to run away. :)

5. My favorite person on the boards is:
a. Geg
b. Weltek
c. Nutz
d. mm
e. You guys can't possibly expect me to answer this one, can you?

I am fond of all of you. Truthfully, there are only a few people on the boards who I dislike. Some people's opinions I may disagree with at times, but they are passionate about them, so who am I to judge?

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to my sweetie, who turned 30 some on Friday. We went to dinner at this yummy tapas place near the Verizon Center. We also went to the game with my dad. I told Jason Caps fans have to be eternal optimists otherwise they'd be crying all the time. I knew no Olie=bad, but I didn't expect it to be this bad.
*sigh* Jason went to do his taxes and get harassed by his family Saturday morning, so Ari and I took a nice nap. I don't understand why his family won't treat him like an adult who is capable of making his own decisions, but I guess they haven't realized that yet. Saturday night we went over to Dan's house, where he hosted one of those murder mystery games where everyone plays a different character (this was pirate themed). I was a lady pirate. Jason made a very sexy pirate. I kept sneaking in kisses during the game. I just couldn't help myself. There was a ton of food, and we all had grog (rum, lime, sugar, water) til I was a wee bit grogged. It was a lot of fun. Sadly, I wasn't the murderer. Sunday we slept in and I made turkey burgers and potatoes for lunch. He vacuumed my entire floor while I was cooking. He is the sweetest.
I hope that Jason gets everything that he wants this year. He deserves it.

Oh, the Horror

My boss can be such a drama queen sometimes. I support two labs, right across from each other. A couple of weeks ago afternoon boss has me come over to fix the fax machine that's jammed. Then he comes over completely freaked out because he can't make copies because the copier is out of toner. "I NEED these copies for today." I just told him to give the document to me and I would use the copier in my morning office.
Today he knocks on the door to my office because he's out of paper. There is no paper! I told him that I would order him some from supply. A few moments later, he sends one of his scientists in to tell me there is no paper. I just looked at him and told him to get the credit card out of my desk and go buy some paper from the store downstairs. So he did... great crisis averted.
This is why I get paid the big bucks.

Awww

Wednesday we went out to dinner with CSTL, who was in Manassas doing training. It was a lot of fun, we had a good time.
Jason and I then went over to my parent's since they had arrived back from their ten day cruise to the Caribbean. Ima told us as we were leaving that she loved us both. I melted...it's so nice to know my parents love J. I'm glad.
