Pre-Weekend Countdown Post

I love long weekends. We don't have huge plans, we will probably do some hiking at Great Falls on Saturday and have a picnic. Sunday we'll have dinner with Ima and Dad. It's Ima's birthday Monday. Monday Jason wants to have a bbq with family. He is going to ask about including me, which is very sweet of him because it will lead to them fighting about evil evil me. I'm not that hopeful.
I had my colposcopy yesterday and everything is fine. I am very pleased. I have another six month visit. Hopefully soon I'll get back to anually. :-)
Lean Cusine's chicken with peanut sauce is awesome. Mmmm, so good.
My coworker just told me a story about pizza in Shanghai. She said it had seaweed on it and was named The Flying Butterfly. She said it was delicious. I'll have to take her word for it.
I've decided that I'm a hypocrite. I claim to be Liberal and completely in favor of free speech, but I'm really not. Stupid people who annoy me shouldn't be able to speak. It's not about people whose opinions I disagree with. Or people who are generally not nice. I'm feeling very anti-stupid people right now.

Woooo

I'm done, I'm done. No more GRE!! Woooooooooo!!!
I did well, especially on the verbal. My brain is fried, but I'm happy.
With the computer test, you get your scores on the math and verbal right away.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Anyone want a GRE study guide? Math book? :-)
Now I just have to get accepted to a grad school.

I'm a Travelin' Woman

We booked our trip to Seattle over the weekend for the peep meet. I'm excited. We are staying at a lovely looking b&b in Bellvue. The woman sounded very nice on the phone. Hopefully Friday night we can have dinner with people and break the ice. We are planning on renting a car too. We paid a little more to fly non-stop from DC. Apparently Jason hates the airport. It doesn't bother me as much. Although I'll admit the idea of spending four hours in a layover doesn't sound very appealing.

We have been thinking about going somewhere warm when it's cold, and wanted to go around January/February time. I suggested a cruise, and did some digging. So now we'll be cruising to Key West, Ocho del Rios, and the Cayman Islands. Our cruise just happens to fall over my birthday. *grin*

We may have a weekend trip or two over the summer as well. We have good friends who had a baby in January who we haven't seen since the little guy was born. And my brother and sister are talking about getting together with our cousins and significants too. I have lots of fun stories about my cousins and the fun we had growing up together.

That will have to wait. My GRE General Test is Saturday. It's 9:30 and I can barely keep my eyes open. So I'm going to put on my jammies and collapse into bed.
More later. *yawn*

Mondays with Ari

This morning's conversation with Ari...
Deb: "You know Ari, not everyone is as wide awake as you at 6 AM on Monday morning."
Ari: "Mew, mew, *headbutt* mew, mew *headbutt* *flop* mew, mew, mew."

This weekend was nice, I stayed over at Jason's Friday and he made his shrimp alfredo. Oh, we used the Pop in Bath bubble bar. Not girly at all, and lots of bubbles. We should make a master list somewhere of the Lush products people liked and why. Saturday I went over to Dan's to play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the roleplaying game). Dan was nostalgic because the movie came out. We also watched this horrible movie called the Legend of Zu. It was tremendously bad.
Sunday I spent most of the day organizing my files since I got a new desk. I rowed on my rowing machine for a half hour while I watched the hockey game. And I took a nice bath with my You've Been Mangoed bath melt. It was lovely.

Stuff and Things

I'm fine... sudying like a madwoman for the GRE's. I took a practice test and got my verbal score up to 670, but the math...needs work. I am determined though.
I saw my old shithole boss at a conference I was at today. My good friend Rashida was sitting a seat down from him, so I sat next to her. He talked to me about the Caps. He kept going on and on until Rashida interrupted him to tell me something and he shut up. He's still a fake, fake, fakey faker. Sheesh.
Okay, so some 13 year old girl makes an Anti-Semetic "joke" to Mystic's dh, and PRE repeats the "joke" as a question? Then he doesn't get why Syren's arrest was racially motivated? I've come to the conclusion that the guy is really just that dense. Sheesh.
Jason's sister is in Hawaii for 10 days so we've had dates at his house. I brought Ari with me Saturday and he absolutely loved it. There was so much for him to explore and he loved going up and down all the stairs.
We are planning on going to Seattle (if Catt would ever get back to me it would be nice) and we're going to take a cruise in February.
I've also been working out consistently. I did excercises on my ball today even though I'm grumpy and bloated and I have cramps. Hmmm, maybe that was an overshare. :) I do feel better now.
I saw this picture from dad today and I am reminded that it's hard to notice that I've lost 12 pounds this year without seeing myself in pictures...

So that's Leah and Andrew, Kate and Jon, and Jason and me. Kate had a conference this weekend so Jon met the rest of the family for a Nationals game and then we met Kate for dinner downtown.
